Hell hath no fury like an internet argument video response

After mentioning on Jalopnik about how I’m tall and need my seat all the way back to comfortably sit in just about any car, Jalopnik commenter “cream wobbly” got angry with me.

Nonsense. You’re sitting wrong. You’re not *that* tall.

Oh don’t listen to me, take it from the experts—

They have babies in Europe, too. And over there, the Focus is a *big* car. Really big. The Fiesta and Ka are typical for families. And then consider where people are tallest.

Now go and take some driving lessons. You’re doing it wrong.

Now if there’s one thing we tall people are proud of, it’s our genetic predisposition to height, over which we had no control and into which we put no effort. Under no circumstances could I let that insult stand, so over lunchbreak, I put together a 100% accurate shot-for-shot remake of the original Recaro video, simultaneously proving someone on the internet wrong and also being a smartass, my two favorite things in the world.

I got quite a few odd looks from my neighbors while filming this.

  1. Before I begin, I am 6’7″
I feel your pain, man. I too must have the seats back and down to even think about being able to fit, and even then, about half the cars on the market? Nope. I tried to get into a Fiat 500 once. It was laughable how not even close I was to fitting in, let alone driving it. Surprisingly, I can fit into a New Beetle, and a Smart.

It’s amazing to me how average height people think tall people just make stuff up about how difficult life can be sometimes.
